Sandy's Story

Sandy in the garden with her Welsh
Terrier, Willy |
Having grown up in the country, I developed an early appreciation of
creation's bounty. As a young girl riding my pony through woods
and fields, I enjoyed the sights, smells and textures of nature on
Whidbey Island.
Years later, after college, traveling and two careers, I found pleasure
in caring for the gardens I planted in Enumclaw. I was delighted when
peonies, roses, hydrangeas and delphinium thrived. By experimenting
with unusual foliage, I found that the arrangements I made took on a
garden-fresh, natural style. My first attempt at selling flowers was
when my sister and I created dried hydrangea wreaths for sale to Seattle
boutiques one Christmas. I soon learned that creating floral
arrangements that made people happy brought me great personal satisfaction
and joy.
After attending floral design school, I established a flower studio and began creating in my private design shop. I've been fortunate to have a creative staff join me in
providing designs that mirror our customers' vision for the special days in
their lives. In addition to using our own grown flowers and greens, we
take our pick from the best products grown commercially each season.
If you're inspired by our designs, call to make an appointment to meet
with me for your wedding or event. Complimentary consultations are held at
my cottage, City Perk or a Starbucks near you. Please call me, Sandy Dubsky,
designer and owner at 253-332-6925.
